About Us
Founded recently in January 2010, Gossip Pet is a group of Pet Lovers collaborators headed by Maribel Méndez. This group and founder intents and beliefs are to provide humane care and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. Gossip Pet goal is educate pet owners and the public in general about the needs of companion animals in each others life. Also, create consciousness and sensibility for animal in need of love, care and respect. This group will speak for them!
About the Founder
Born in Pennsylvania, United States, I moved to Puerto Rico as a child, a beautiful island in the Caribbean surrounded with spectacular scenery of flora and fauna, ocean life, landscaping, mixed cultures and history. Living on an island of different races and culture I developed the need of searching for animal wellness. The love and compassion for animals has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have always had an enduring fascination and love for animals. These lovely creatures have been an essential part of my development as a sensible human being. Animals had taught me about real unconditional love, fidelity and loyalty. I remember having as a 15th birthday gift, my first dog which I named "Skippy". If I loved animals before Skippy, I don't have words to explain how I love animals after him. My life during and after living with Skippy changed completely. Having a family composed of humans and animals in which both species intertwine to share their love and companion is an enrichment and delighted way of living. Living with pets and sharing part of my life with each one of them makes my life happier and more special each day. Everyday, I learn from my pets that love and forgiveness is a basic and simple step to keep on going in this cruel and rude world filled with empty hearts and insensible creatures called "Rationale Humans" towards animals.Photographer Marilina Dávila www.silverandpixelphoto.com
I decided to create this web site, for visitors to come and celebrate pets of all kinds. Also, share their knowledge, experiences, thoughts, adventures, pictures, comments and, Why not?... gossip related to pets. In memory of my beloved Skippy and my lovely present pets; Shadow, Camelia, Mia and Coco... I launch this web page for the use and fulfillment of each one who will visit and become part of Gossip Pet. It's a way for me to share my appreciation and my love for those who can't speak for themselves. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, suggests or comments you may have.
